Musculoskeletal & Sports Injury
-
We treat acute and persistent back and neck conditions, including stiffness, nerve-related pain, and postural issues. Care includes hands-on treatment, movement-based rehabilitation, and practical advice to improve mobility and prevent recurrence.
-
We support recovery following orthopaedic surgery, including joint replacements, ligament repairs, and spinal procedures. Rehabilitation programmes are tailored to your stage of healing, helping you regain strength, mobility, and confidence throughout your recovery.
-
We manage long-standing and overuse injuries such as tendon pain, workplace-related strain, and persistent joint or muscle issues. Treatment focuses on addressing underlying causes, improving movement patterns, and building long-term resilience.
-
We assess and treat recent injuries such as sprains, muscle strains, and ligament damage. Our goal is to reduce pain and swelling early, restore function, and guide you safely back to sport or activity.
-
We offer movement screening, strength and conditioning advice, and sport-specific rehabilitation to reduce injury risk and optimise performance. Ideal for athletes or anyone looking to stay active and injury-free.
Women’s Health Services
-
A postnatal Physiotherapy assessment is recommended for all women following birth. This comprehensive check-up evaluates pelvic floor recovery, abdominal muscle separation, scar healing, posture, and return-to-exercise readiness. Early support can help prevent ongoing issues and ensure a safe, confident return to daily activities and exercise.
-
During pregnancy, the body undergoes significant physical changes that can lead to back pain, pelvic girdle pain, or pelvic floor symptoms. Women’s health physiotherapy provides safe, individualised strategies to manage discomfort, maintain strength, prepare the pelvic floor for birth, and support an active, healthy pregnancy.
-
Pelvic floor dysfunction refers to changes in the strength, coordination, or endurance of the pelvic floor muscles, which can lead to symptoms such as leaking, pelvic pain, heaviness, or discomfort with intimacy. Women’s health physiotherapy provides tailored assessment and evidence-based treatment, including pelvic floor retraining, relaxation techniques, and strength programs, to restore function and improve confidence in daily activities and exercise.
-
Bladder and bowel concerns such as urinary incontinence, urgency, constipation, or faecal leakage are common but not something you have to “just live with.” Physiotherapy focuses on identifying contributing factors, improving pelvic floor muscle function, optimising toileting habits, and supporting healthy bladder and bowel routines to help you regain control and comfort.
-
Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the bladder, uterus, or bowel shifts downward due to reduced pelvic floor support, often causing a sensation of heaviness, dragging, or a visible bulge. Women’s health physiotherapy offers management through targeted pelvic floor strengthening, lifestyle advice, and safe exercise guidance to reduce symptoms and support long-term pelvic health.
-
Conditions such as endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can significantly impact quality of life through pain, hormonal changes, and pelvic tension. Physiotherapy plays a supportive role alongside medical care by addressing pelvic pain, improving muscle function, guiding appropriate exercise, and offering strategies to help women better manage symptoms and feel more in control of their health.
-
Menopause and perimenopause bring hormonal changes that can affect pelvic floor strength, bladder control, joint health, bone density, and overall wellbeing. Women’s health physiotherapy provides education, pelvic floor assessment, strength and resistance training guidance, and strategies to manage symptoms such as leakage, vaginal dryness-related discomfort, and musculoskeletal aches. Our goal is to help you stay strong, active, and confident through every stage of midlife and beyond.
